Christmas 2019 Application Process – Can You Help?

It’s time to begin thinking about Christmas and the Union County Christmas Bureau.  We will begin taking applications from families on Monday, September 30th.  The application process will take place at the Union County Human Services location.  The distribution will once again be held at Monroe Crossings as we have been able to for the last two years, but we won’t move into that space until mid-November.

For now, we are asking for volunteers that have basic computer skills and can commit to at least 4 – 8 hours each week from September 30 through November 22.  We ask for volunteers to be able to help in 4 hour shifts (8:30-1230 or 12:30-4:30).  If you are able to help with this,  we will need for you to plan to attend one of the 2 training dates below:

Event Name:  Volunteer Application Training

Event Description:  Volunteers will be trained on the interview and intake process for the families that will be applying to receive Christmas assistance for their families.  Volunteers only need to attend one of the two trainings.

September 24, 9 – 12; or

September 25, 9-12

Event Meeting Location:  Union County Human Services, 2330 Concord Avenue, Monroe, NC 28110.
